Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance do you need to place your order? ​

Orders need to be placed to Indulge Cupcakery at least 3 weeks in advance to avoid rush order fees.

​

Orders placed less than 3 weeks in advance will be accepted based on availability.

 

Full Payment is required on all orders under $200.00, and a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE order retainer is required for all order greater than $200.00 to secure your date.

​

If you wish to place a custom order that requires acrylic toppers and/ or other outsourced design pieces your invoice must be paid in full at the time your order is placed. **THESE ORDERS SHOULD BE PLACED AT LEAST 4 WEEKS IN ADVANCE.**

Please Note: 

 

All balances must be paid no later than ONE WEEK prior to your event (for general orders), late payments may delay production, pick up times, and/or cancellation of order. 

​

Orders less than 3 weeks away require FULL PAYMENT at the time of ordering!

Payment of an invoice serves as your service agreement with Indulge Cupcakery for your event.
 

All invoice must be paid within 24 hours of receipt.

 

How do I place an order?

Many items may be ordered directly through our online store.  Please be sure to include your event date/details in the notes section.

 

For custom celebration cakes, combined orders, weddings or large events please complete the contact form, or email us directly at info@indulgecupcakerybatonrouge.com to place orders.

 

What are the operating hours?

Indulge Cupcakery is closed on Sunday and Monday,  T-F 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

What is your refund/cancellation policy?

Due to the tedious, handcrafted nature of our products, we are unable to provide refunds or exchange custom cakes, cake pops, cupcakes, cookies, and treat items.

​

Once a cake has been picked up by you or a designated party it is considered "Accepted". All products are the responsibility of the customer once it leaves our possession.  Indulge Cupcakery cannot control temperature, inclement weather, travel care, etc. that may cause the cake, cupcakes or special order to fall, break or become damaged during transport. Refunds requested due to decorating style, color shade or general decoration design will not be honored.  We only give refunds in accordance with the refund policies stated.

We bake one day and decorate the next. If you need to postpone your cake for another date, we require at least one week notice. With less notice, we can reschedule your order (depending on availability) however you may incur an extra charge to re-bake the cake/recreate the elements on the cake. If you'd like to change the flavor of your cake, we require 72 hours’ notice. 3D Cakes require at least one week's notice if changes want to be made to the cake or to change the date.

Cake flavor and texture is subjective. Refunds requested due to flavor or texture after cake has been accepted and picked up will not be honored. You may qualify for a store credit if the product is brought back to us and the quality of the cake flavor or texture is determined not to meet our standards (Our cakes are tasted daily to insure highest possible quality). Quality determination is solely at the discretion of Indulge Cupcakery. Our cakes are exceptionally moist. Keep in mind variety in temperature and humidity may impact the flavor, overall design, or texture of the cake to some degree. Please understand we cannot control changes in texture or changes in color or shape due to weather conditions.

ALL PURCHASES ARE FINAL SALE UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED!

DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

 

For any reason you need to re-schedule your occasion date, due to unforeseen event such as, weather, illness, or other, we will try our best to accommodate these changes if the date is available. This is not guaranteed. If we are unable to accommodate your new date, keep in mind, the retainer is non-refundable and non-transferable. If paid in full, you will only be refunded the balance minus the 50% retainer fee.

If you cancel a cake order before we have a chance to deliver it to you, there is NO Refund.

 

If you pre-paid in full, or placed a partial deposit, you will NOT get a refund if you cancel your order before we have a chance to deliver it to you.

 

If we deliver the order 2.5 hours late, or less and the order is accepted we will NOT provide a refund.

 

If customer provides wrong date, time or address for delivery, we will NOT provide a refund.

**We will not be responsible for any additional expenses that you incur as a result of our failure to deliver the cake. Our liability is limited to the contracted value of the cake.**

​

NOTE: If we give you a refund (1/2 of your total balance minus 25% handling/cancellation fee), you CANNOT keep the cake/order. You only get the refund if you refuse to "accept" the cake/order. We will NOT negotiate a partial refund if you keep the cake. This is a "take it, or leave it" policy.

​

Approved refunds are given via store credit ONLY, and must be used within 90 days of receipt.

Should I refrigerate the cupcakes after I pick them up?

Cupcakes are best stored and served at room temperature. We do not recommend refrigerating your cupcakes. Any cupcakes not consumed immediately, should be wrapped in plastic wrap or stored in an airtight container.

 

Can cupcakes be boxed individually?

Indulge Cupcakery will individually box cupcakes, however, additional charges may apply.

 

Can cupcakes be ordered nut-free?

We cannot guarantee that any cupcakes without nuts or nut products are safe to be consumed by those with allergies as Indulge Cupcakery bakes with various nuts and/or nut based products at our bakery. We recommend those with nut allergies, use caution when consuming our cupcakes.

 

Can cupcakes be custom decorated?

Custom decorations are available. Please text/email for available options and pricing.

 

Can orders be delivered?

There is a $100 minimum order for Indulge Cupakery to deliver. A delivery fee will be added for deliveries within Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas. Delivery fees are calculated based on location.

 

What do I need to do for a wedding or special event consultation?

For weddings, appointments need to be made at least three months prior to the event.  For special events, appointments need to be made at least one month prior to the event.  Please text/email the bakery to schedule an appointment.

 

What corporate branding do you offer?

Indulge Cupcakery can make edible custom logo discs that can be placed on top of the cupcakes. Customized packaging is also available. These options can be discussed during a scheduled consultation.
